New baby...

Meet Ellie....

Kinda hard to see... She's a baby lock... Elegante3... And I'm in love!

I bought her mostly for an embroidery machine, but she can sew too! And oh what a dream! She's so quiet... I love Bernie, (my Bernina).. Never knew how loud she was.
I had Ellie working last night putting all those 1/12" squares together... She did it, beautifully...I'm gonna try to quilt it today.

Then, just for kicks and giggles.... I embroidered this little snowman up. Not so little.... It's about 7" tall.

Latest window...

It started out , just a window... Then I had a grand idea of putting a cabinet in my closet. Sooo, I cleared out one end..

And put my plans in for my cabinet... Here it is being built.

With the window....

Then painted... And I can't decide on what baskets... 1 on top with 4 big ones on side...2 on bottom..

3 on top, 1 on bottom, 4 big ones on side...

Or.... 3 on top... 2 smaller on top 2 shelves and 2 big on bottom 2 shelves..
This is how I left it... I'm thinking this picture below is the ticket, but can't make up my mind.

So many decisions.... Aahhhh...

But didn't hubby do a great job on my order! He just started out with a window!! I just Love him!!

Embroidery..

I'm making something SUPER cute!!! It's my first attempt at something like this ..and I'm liking it. I've embroidered lots of other things.. Shirts, blankets, towels, quilt labels...Things like that, but I'm trying to use my machine more.

A little counting book. It's so stinking cute!!

Isn't it cute?

I still have to clean them up before I sew them together. I have quite a few left to do, but ran into a road block. My little machine is not cooperating with the download. It's a Bernina deco. Just a little guy, but it's done good so far.
Going to visit Sewing machines Plus on Monday... So, we'll see....

Quilt along...

Anyone else doing Temecula quilt co. , quilt along?
www.Temeculaquiltco.blogspot.com
It's a mystery...
First 3 parts are listed and I'm already behind.
Your suppose to make 24 of the stars... Micro miniature stars I may add...
I think they are similar to shnibbles... Those miniature quilts.

On the 1st, she said to make 1 star a day.... Today's the 17, and I only have 3 made, completed.

I have a whole bunch, almost done but not quite.

They are the most cutest things ever! I think I have to make a couple extras cause I have a feeling, some are just not gonna measure out.

Field trip... Again!

So, not only did I talk my hubby into going on another field trip... I talked some friends in too!
Got up at zero dark hours, rain and all, and we headed down to San Diego way...
Started out at the swap meet. Good idea, bad swap meet.

Ate a little breakfast at IHOP... Which is where I snapped the flower picture... It's pretty... Have no idea what it is.. Thinking gardenia family... Not sure.
So, my grand idea didn't turn out that bad...we ended up at Mission Bay and walked all around. They had the breast cancer 3 day walk going on and people dressed in pink were everywhere... Go Girls!!! And Guys!!

Look at the size of this magnolia tree!! Holy Moly!

Turned out to be a beautiful day after how ugly it started out. But....
Couldn't go all that way and NOT stop at a couple quilt shops...
Country Loft did not disappoint.... Wonderful as usual... And then Pieced with Love was having last minute sale... 20% off your total purchase... Woo Hoo!

Fallbrook Quilt Show...

There were soooo many very beautiful quilts there... Over 200! But I am so in love with Mary Morrison and her work that she does. Take a look at just some of her quilts she entered. This is not all of them, I started taking pictures half way through the show.

- Is that a big WOW or what!!!!
I have already talked with her on getting a tutorial on how to do appliqué as she does. Maybe someday, I will be half as good as her!
