Today is my daughter Kelly's birthday... She is 32!!! Man, time flies!!! I still remember being in labor with her on New Year's Eve day, and after the Dr did his exam... (This being like 11:00 am) He says... Ok... I will see you later on tonight... Wait, wait!! I am NOT doing this all day! Your crazy! And she was born at 2:31 in the afternoon.. ( I think) I just remember it being right smack in the middle of General Hospital! Hahaha... The things you remember.
happy, Happy, HAPPY Birthday Kelly!!! Hope you have an amazing day!!! xoxox mom
Had some good friends over on Sunday for a little get together...
A good time was had by all... This comes after a week of entertaining the entire work staff here at my house too! 40+ people there! Everyone there had an awesome time too.. I forgot to take pictures that night also... :(
Ellie, (embroidery machine) had a little project to work on today.
A Victorian Santa... When I ordered it, I didn't know it was going to come out "cross stitched". Stupid me, I just thought it was shown that way because it was available in all options.. Hand, cross stitch, machine emb... Sooo... I'm gonna frame him up and put him out on display. Maybe I'll like him better when he's complete.
You always hear of these stories on the news where one of the parents that have been deployed surprises the kids at school. Well, it happened at mine. Dad has been away since May... And he came back today!
Kinda blurring, (I was shaking and getting really tears eyed) but you get the picture. The youngest, just kept staring at him and wouldn't get out of his chair. Took him a couple minutes for it all to register, but when he did... He says... Dad, we won't have to skype anymore, huh? It was a REALLY good day!
I am having more issues with this blog lately... Not sure if it's my iPad... Computer...blogspot.com....blogger...
The last 2 days, my "favorite blogs" on my side bar, are not loading correctly. Also, when I click on them, I can't open them. Says something about a RSS feed. Hmmm. Driving me crazy. I'm curious to know if anyone has trouble viewing mine..?? So I log in click on a couple things.. Then it works... Go back a little later and more issues.. I'm about ready to call it quits with it. Grrr
Today is the day you sit back and realize just how lucky we all are and to thank the mighty stars...
Found a couple of pictures of Steven as a wee little one. He had me look for these yesterday.Thankful he has a wonderful life with Ronna and my 2 gran-doggies.. Whom I miss oh so much!
Couldn't find an old picture of Kelly so here she is playing in the snow. Thankful she has a 2nd family in Texas to take care of her. She is with them in Red River New Mexico this weekend.
I am such a lucky girl... I have a wonderful husband to take of me, Kelly, Steven and Ronna...a wonderful house..warm bed I can sit here and write this blog, and for so many more things that could fill up pages and pages. Wishing family, friends, near and far... A Wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
Kinda hard to see... She's a baby lock... Elegante3... And I'm in love!
I bought her mostly for an embroidery machine, but she can sew too! And oh what a dream! She's so quiet... I love Bernie, (my Bernina).. Never knew how loud she was. I had Ellie working last night putting all those 1/12" squares together... She did it, beautifully...I'm gonna try to quilt it today.
Then, just for kicks and giggles.... I embroidered this little snowman up. Not so little.... It's about 7" tall.
I'm making something SUPER cute!!! It's my first attempt at something like this ..and I'm liking it. I've embroidered lots of other things.. Shirts, blankets, towels, quilt labels...Things like that, but I'm trying to use my machine more.
A little counting book. It's so stinking cute!!
Isn't it cute?
I still have to clean them up before I sew them together. I have quite a few left to do, but ran into a road block. My little machine is not cooperating with the download. It's a Bernina deco. Just a little guy, but it's done good so far. Going to visit Sewing machines Plus on Monday... So, we'll see....
