Monday....

Play day Monday!
I got together with a friend, I helped her finished up a charity quilt... then made a couple little bags... one for Jackson, her grandson and one for mine, John John..
We made these cute little zippered bags.
They are really cute.. have their names on them and everything. Jackson’s looks just like this but with his name on it.

They can keep anything in them. Little dinosaur friends.. squash em’s... bot bots... pencils, crayons... anything he wants.

It is an in the hoop embroidery pattern, comes in 3 sizes. This is the biggest, gosh, I think like 14”. I’m going to make one for Sloan, the other grandson and momma can use it in the diaper bag until he gets old enough.
We also went to lunch, went for a walk, toured a friends house (possibly to purchase in future) and then started some other zippered bags but didn’t get to finish.
Ran outa time, will finish another day.

And the other...

Here is the 2nd one I made for Kelly.

It was made by request from her so she could display thru the month of February.

Was stitched with hearts and loops with an E2E bought from Wasatch quilting.
Now onto my next project... John John has asked for a dinosaur quilt.

1 done...

I happened to finish 1 of the 2 quilts. It measures about 72 x 72.

This was made from my scrap bin that was overflowing. Then I came upon this E2E quilting pattern and just had to get it.
It’s from Wasatch. I think that’s how you spell it. New to me and I just love it and them.

Then I did the sew on binding w/flange that I just love also. Gives it a POP! Now to watch GH and then maybe quilt the other one up.

Christmas Barn quilt...

It’s quilted!

It was windy when I tried to photograph it.

Here’s the back...used up some extra fabric... always a good idea.

The back has the first block I practiced on.... it was wrong so that’s why I put it on the back.

I am so in love with everything about it. Especially the quilting pattern. It turned out awesome. Took a little longer to quilt, had a glitch and had to restart it. I didn’t save it RIGHT before I started so those last minute changes I did, didn’t save. Darn it. I’m still a rookie, still learning.  I’ll get the hang of it eventually.
Also quilted up another charity quilt.

The last one was a girl version...this one is for a baby boy.

Adorable... this will make some little guy happy.

Tuesday finish...

A++ is finished...

Quilted... I used an E2E called broken glass.

On the home front.. we looked at the most perfect house today. I met this lady at a women’s get together before Christmas and as we were introducing ourselves to each other, I mentioned that we were looking for a house in this neighborhood. She called me the next day and said that her husband was most likely getting a job transfer but it wouldn’t happen till end of school year. We looked at it today and it’s just perfect! Say a prayer that when they decide on a price that we can afford it. I would absolutely love to live in it and this neighborhood. I have met so many wonderful people here and would love to be neighbors to all of them.

Play day Monday...

Today I sewed. Planned on making a few bags, but this one took all day.

It’s officially called portable portfolio, by Creative Thimble. But I know it as a ‘busy bag’. Comes in 3 sizes and this is the biggest.

It has a zippered pouch on ea side. A middle piece that has 2 more zippered pouches

4 zippered pouches in all.

On this side, I added a piece of cardboard covered with fabric to hide the back of the embroidered logo that is on front.

We plan on sewing another day, not sure when though. My friend Sandy has a “royal Crown” quilt to make for a customer and she’s not sure how to go about it. I gave her some ideas, but she has to think on it. That’s too much pressure for me, yuck. So when that’s over, we’ll sew.
I also got this in the mail today.
It’s a Ruby red Olfa rotary cutter, in celebration of 40 yrs. there’s only a certain amount made and when they are gone, they are gone.
