RockStar...

Just received this quilt back from the long arm quilter.
Found on Facebook, a long arm quilter named Betsy Pease, "sew imagine that"... from Louisiana.  Wonderful!
I had sent one other quilt to her before and she was wonderful to work with. So I sent her 2 more. And this is one of the 2.

Binding on and labeled. It's in the washer now. It's flannel on flannel and it is SUPER soft.. I do the sew on binding with the accent flange because my fingers don't last long sewing it in by hand. That's gonna change here soon..

Look Betsy up on Facebook. She did a fantastic job, turn around was spectacular and quilting was gorgeous. Prices were awesome also.  Give her a try. Tell her Donna sent you.
Now off to bind quilt #2

3 years old...

My little man is going to be 3 years old next week. That was the reason we went to Texas. My DIL was so gracious to move his party forward a couple weeks so that we could go. See, I had to start back to work this past Monday.. which is way to ridiculous.

There is no reason what so ever that we need to be there 3 weeks before the kids start. First 2 days I kept busy, but the rest of the week, I just twiddle my thumbs. I am a team player all the way, but now the girls in the front office EXPECT me to do their jobs. So I am not even going up there. They need to learn to do their own jobs in time allotted and if they can't, they need to tell someone.
There, I vented. Now back to JohnJohn.
Whenever he sees the camera, he automatically says "cheese".
Beautiful, relaxing day at the lake.
This guy LOVES to "schcoop" dirt. Gamma got him all set up!

We had a blast! Can't wait till we retire!

Waco...

I have been there many times before, but this is the first since they turned the silos into an amazing shoppers wonderland.
I didn't take any pictures of the inside just because I had seen so many that others have taken.

The grounds, the shops, amazing! The bakery, I didn't even go there because the line was so long. Everyone was inside or in bakery line... kinda weird there's hardly anyone in they pictures.

We drove by a couple more of the fixer upper houses... (I've seen quite a few) even the one someone drove THRU! Google it, its quite a story.

Checkers anyone...

Kelly is here and we were playing around in the sewing room.

She did this one with wooden buttons.. super, super cute!
These are the 3 we made up.

Then we found these super cute tins and boxes to keep them in so all the pieces stay together.

Then we were done, we decided on doing one more... but ran out of material and can't finish it till Monday when Primitive Gatherings opens.. they are really cute, finished at about ten inches..

Holiday quilts...

This first one was quilted just in time for the 4th of July... its name is "liberty", measures 55x71 and designer is My Red Door Designs.

This next one is just a top, it's called "gingham stars"

It comes from this book. Holiday Wishes.

It measures 54x72...super cute, and super easy! There are lots of beautiful quilts in this book by the way. I just may have to put a couple of them on my wish list.

Why do the fur babies think that when you lay these out your doing it for them!? Silly pups!
