Crazy, busy...

Kristina has been keeping me busy at work... Never a dull moment at a elementary school... I come home and I am just exhausted.
This week, my gramma skills have to go to work.
My son Steven, Ronna, and John John have come to visit... I am such a lucky gramma!

Just look at this baby boy!

We are busy visiting family... Playing...and I am loving every minute.
Here we are with Aunt Audrey...

Then with Aunt Margie...

Then with me, gramma... This is a horrible picture. I just came home from work and it's crazy windy outside..

I am off tomorrow, and I have to babysit... Darn! :)

Hemet quilt show...

Hemet Quilt show was absolutely awesome again... Every year they put on the best show and they did not disappoint again. I forgot to take pictures most of the time, but I did snap a few. Quilts were amazing, and vendors were great. I did buy a few things, but I was in control this time. Lol.

These 3, are on my to do list...I have the patterns and fabric, I just need to do them. After seeing them in person, it's like I want to do them NOW!
I have a couple of things (more like a lot) to wrap up first, then I'm on them.

Inkwell...

Finished this quilt up last night. I had assembled all the blocks last week and went to do the sashing but the yardage was cut crooked so I couldn't get the last 8-9 pieces cut.

I emailed Red Door designs and they replied within the hour. I emailed with he intention of purchasing what I needed and they totally refused to let me pay. I received it in the mail with a couple of days and they also threw in their latest, and cutest LOVE pattern!!!
These girls are the best!
Thank you Red Door Designs!

Busy weekend....

Actually just a busy Sunday. This is called "tokens of the past" from Pam Buda. I took the class from Country Loft when she was in town.

Finished up quilting it this past weekend.

Whipped up this little runner also. A Gail Pan design.

It was a lot of fun to do.

Busy also doing more projects for Primitive Gatherings. A person, me, has a really hard time saying 'no' to Lisa Bongean.. Lol

Barn quilt...

Here she is... All done... Just finished putting the binding on and hung her up.
This was created by Kathy Cardiff from "The Cottage at Cardiff Farms".

When I saw the sample last April hanging in the Country Loft, I guess I was drooling a little because my husband looked at me and asked if I would like to do the block of the month for my birthday. Well, heck ya! He didn't know it, but I was gonna do it anyways. Bonus!
I just loved how it was quilted, so I took LOTS of pictures and when I handed her off to my friend (kerry smith) for quilting, I showed her how they did it so she could get an idea. She did an awesome job!
I may get the nerve to enter her in the Fallbrook quilt show this year. To me, that's really scary!!!
Anyways....I am in love!

Gardening..

2/8/15, update...
Someone informed today that this is not true! The myth about bell peppers that is. It was fun while it lasted tho...

I am going out in the backyard today for a clean up. A MAJOR clean up is overdue. The weather is perfect! I even spotted my bell peppers that survived the snow.
Here is an FYI... That I didn't know. Found it on, I think Facebook.

That's your interesting fact for the day! Enjoy your Saturday!

Wool... "Goodwool"

Went shopping for wool at Goodwill last Saturday and for the first time, I got in on a sale. When I walked in, they informed me of a sale. Till noon time, ALL clothes were $3.00 each. Youza!! I got 16 different 100% wool jackets, skirts, blazers...

Brought them home, felted them, cut them apart and folded...took for-ev-er!!!This picture just shows just the front half. I couldn't even put a price on it because there is so much. For example.. A 10x18 piece of wool at a quilt store is around $5.00..so with all this wool, I'm set. Bring on the projects!
