2 more done...

Oh I just loved my Easter break! Can't wait for summer. 41 days and counting. 8 weeks just about!
This little lovely I sewed about 2 years ago to the date and finally just quilted it last week. "Let's Pretend Quilt" is the pattern and it is from American Jane. It measures 46x57.

This next one is way out of my color league, I went Hawaiian! I think one of my sisters got married ions ago and this was there color for their dresses. Audrey, was it you?? The pattern is "Sweet and simple with a twist of lime". It is 76x88. HUGE! Have no idea what to do with it, matches nothing in my house. Maybe the grand doggies have a new blanket unless I can think of something else.
Now off to upstairs to do some sewing for a friend. I'm on a time line for the next one. Don't like that at all. Too much pressure!

I forgot to thank Linda for the flowers she brought me the other day. Thanks~

These were from Mark, thanks honey! Birthday was great, had the day off from work. What could be better! Thank you to all the family and friends who sent Birthday wishes my way. Thanks Jackie for the necklace, love it. Wearing it right now!

I finished this quilt the other day. Fairfax County, it was a fun one!

Easter break this week for me, so I had the girls over for lunch on Wednesday. Marian, Linda and Linda. We had a great time, had a good lunch, worked on some projects, shared some new things and just plain ol' had a good time. (Thanks for the new little sign Marian) LOVE IT!

kitchen re-do's..

I have the most boring kitchen cabinets. Oak! yuck! I eventually want to paint the island an off- white, add some bead board and some corner moulding, and distress it. Oh, I can't wait! That is my summer project.
So I put my order into the "Mark Depot" and asked him if he could re-do my cabinet. He took off the doors, put a plate rack beneath, shortened the cabinet doors and then put glass inside. LOVE IT!

He did the one over the fridge first. This was a useless cabinet as Marian says, I copied the idea from her house. Now I love it also.

This one was useless too. Only had about 9" on each side of the vent pipe, now it houses some of my cookbooks. And now they all match!
