Checks....

When my daughter was here for that week, she saw a quilt on Pinterest that she just HAD to have. So we went and picked fabric out and she got sewing. I just did a little, like 10% and she did all the rest. Ok. I guess more because I did 'long arm' part.
It's a queen size. Her goal was to make a "summer" quilt. When we were in Canton last summer, we came across a 1930's summer quilt and it was unbelievable, just beautiful. We thought about no batting but the black threads were too strong and too many. We could see every single one. So we tried thin flannel. Worked good, still a little too heavy but I think it's because of the size of the quilt.
The picture almost makes it look green, but it's not. Black, grey, and white are the colors with teal binding. She did an awesome job!

I love the pop of color with the binding - great idea to make a summer quilt!
