Quilts of Love...

.

Fallbrook Quilt guild has a program called "Quilts of Love" they donate quilts to local places, like Hospitals and Senior Centers, really anyone who would enjoy and need blankets/quilts. This year they are collecting baby blankets and are donating them to families for the newborns at Camp Pendleton Hospital. This is my donation for the Quilts of Love program.

"Thangles"

Have you ever used these? They make the perfect half square triangles ever.. OK. these are one of the bigger ones, but if I ever had to make tiny ones, I would so use these in a heart beat! It's so easy... sew on the dotted lines...

 Cut on the solid lines... then tear away the paper... and TA-DA!!

We are having an exchange in our friendship group and when we are done, we will have oodles of these to do whatever we want. There are 8 of us and we all will get together at my house next to divide them up. I see a couple of  ideas floating around in my little head already!

New sign...

I had the rub on sticker for a while...didn't know what to do with it. So I sketched out a pattern on wood..cut it out... And ta da.... Hangs near my front door...Weird...looks blurry in this picture, but when you click on it..perfect!

friendship group lunch...

 Andrina, Linda, Marian, Marie, and Sue... all wonderful friends...

 Had an awesome lunch..with a beautiful view...

 talked and talked...and talked...and missing Tiffany who was at home with a TERRIBLE sunburn!

 Then we exchanged our "raw edge" flower blocks...(picture is awful, sorry..)

 and in the end... it was a fun, fun afternoon!

2'fer...

All made from 1 jelly roll. I also used Moda solid I had for the white.

 This top one is all the extra's that came from making this one quilt below. An extra baby quilt is always good to have on hand!
My good friend Tiffany made this pattern up when we went to the cabin on the last visit, and I just LOVED it, had to make me one. It is easy-peasy.. definitely a weekend project or even a night project  for some people. Now to get backings and quilt these puppies!

Summer fun....

Swimming fun with all the girls.... These ones I cannot get the right size when I transfer them over.. sorry.. Having issues with my ipad not letting my pictures show up, so I am having to get on my other computer and re-ad the images...Any ideas anyone?

New store...

On the way home from picking up Kelly last week from the airport, we stopped for lunch and did a little shopping. Kelly introduced me to a new store called "anthropologies". Oh my goodness! I have started my wish list for Christmas.. Check out my new finds..Just look at my new drawer knobs I found...

And my new door knob! I just love it!
