Here she is!

It's funny how you don't see certain blocks till you are looking at the picture.

I'm talking about those DARK squares. But when the borders were added... it toned them down a lot. They didn't stand out that much when I laid them out. Noticed them more when I sewed them together. But they look fine all together. PERFECT!

Couldn't take any pictures outside because it was raining. Today it's still all wet, so the kitchen floor it is! Thanks to all of you who offered suggestions on taking the paper off. I'm trying all ideas!
"On eagles wings" by Edita Sitar... measures 72x84. 72 blocks.
Love it! This is the 2nd paper pieced quilt I did of hers.. love them both, but I think I finally have paper piecing out of my system..

On eagles wings...

Brought these out yesterday and started sewing and playing...

Every once in a while I play with them. Here's a close up.

BUT...... I still have all these to go..

Looks like a mess, but they are all together in stacks ready to go. Lights and darks... couldn't tell ya how many... I just cut up a lot of my scraps one day till I was sick of cutting. I have 32 made already. Takes me approximately 13 minutes to do 1 square.

Leader and ender project...

Sitting next to my machine, probably for the last year... I had these cut up pieces for this quilt. Then every time I started or ended sewing something, I would slide a set in. Just doing that, I created a quilt without even trying.

I worked on the borders yesterday. I made this whole quilt up, just by looking a a picture that a fellow instagrammer, "patchalot" had posted.
Another one bites the dust! Once I get these UFO's finished.. I can concentrate on all the kits I have bought recently.

Box tops...

Isn't just so cute? Our PTA parents are pretty darn crafty... they know how picky I am on things being brought into my library... they are so funny. They brought a picture in from Pinterest and asked me if they made this, if they would be able to house it in the library..
I said yes.. and there it is!

It's a flimsy!!

Took me a while... saw a couple of pictures... had a vision... and created this BEAUTIFUL quilt top.

I made a trip to goodwill and bought a boatload of men's shirts. Spent next to nothing..Cut them up... still have a least half a boatload left after making this. I have another vision of making Bonnie Hunter's Majesty quilt with the left overs after seeing my good friend doing the same. Mariealena... you are just so stinking creative!

I just LOVE it!
It was pretty easy to figure out the pattern, without the pattern.

Quilt rack...

I have a new quilt rack... hubby is feeling a little better these days and was a little ambitious today. After I took the picture, he added another bar in the very top because he had made one extra.

Got the directions for quilt ladder from a friend and he whipped it out today. I'm going to paint it, not sure what color yet.

I just threw the closest quilts on to take a picture. I still have to play with it but laundry and dinner and the dog are calling me.

Bonnie Hunter...

Finished the mystery quilt today. It's a lot more purpley in real life than the picture shows. I almost didn't finish it because I am so not a purple person. But I figure if it's just a blanket no one will see it when I'm in bed.

After all said and done after the pattern ended... I added on. I put  a 2" red/dark pink of the constant fabric for a border and then another row of 4 patches and then after that... I added ANOTHER row of 4 patches to top and bottom. PHEW!
The reason for that is because I wanted to use this as a blanket on my bed. I wanted the sides to hang down a tad bit more to make sure we're covered and not fighting over it. Then the extra at the top and bottom is so that I have enough to tuck in at the end of the bed and enough to snuggle up with at the neck area. It's final size is 97x103.

I ran out of the border material when I decided what I wanted to do and had to order another yard. So while I was waiting, I was playing with these...

My goal is to make a quilt like this...

I also have a friend that made one also and I am just in love. I stocked up on my Goodwill shirts and am ready to go.
