This house was the first house with the trian in the back yard. It was onced owned by Efron Zimbalist Jr., father of Stephanie Zimbalist Jr who played in the tv show Remmington Steele with Pierce Brosnan. The picture above is the "guest house"

garden tour...

Went to Fallbrook today for the annual garden tour and it didn't dissapoint me at all. This is a 40 year old staghorn fern that is about 15 ft tall. Came from the owners dad's house before he passed away.
Roses, roses and more roses.... and more succulants than I have ever seen in my life.

At each house they had an artist of some kind. Painters, gourd artists, quilters, violinists... all different kinds.

This house was just amazing. This was the first house we went to and my favorite. And in the back he had a caboose. Had it crained in and is making a pub out of it for the guys when they come over! I took more than 60 pictures, I'll post more later.

old tablecloth..

Isn't this just the cutest thing! I took an old tablecloth I bought for $1.00 at the Hemet quilt show, and on my weekend away turned it into a really cute pillow. Actually I made 2.

weekend projects...

Very productive weekend. Stayed up WAYYYYY past my bedtime, but got sooooo much accomplished. Made 16 spool blocks for our friendship group.... made 5 raffle blocks for Monday night class (which by the way I did NOT win)....

Made a BQ pattern with my favorite little doggies on it... Mia and Lolli..... (throw size)

And then this one.... it is called Sherbert Delight.....

And this one too..... can you guess where it is going?? my library of course.... The Very Series by Eric Carle. Has 5 of his stories all put together in this. I only took a picture of the corner though.

So, we watched over, like, 30 movies... stayed up till sunrise just about... had delicious food and great company! Can't wait till August for the next one!

It's May already!

Been a little busy here lately. Monday night class, friendship group, working out EVERY day (5 pounds, bye-bye). It seems to always come at once. Poor Mark doesn't get a cooked meal from me very often anymore.
This pile of fabric is going to make a new quilt for my library. The "very series" by Eric Carle. It is a free pattern on http://www.andoverfabrics.com/ . It has all of his stories put together in this one.

This is the finished pinwheel sampler quilt that I was doing from http://www.psiquilt.com/ . Stayed up way too late on Friday night and did this one. She posted a new block like every week and we were to make 2 of each pattern. I must need a new camera because the colors are horrible in this picture. It is really pretty in person.
So thats some of what I have been doing. I have a list of things that need to be done. I can't wait for school to end so I can get them done. I do not like these UFO projects at all. I have never had more than 2 projects and I can say that there are over 10 things on the list!
