Saturday with the sisters...

Went to lunch with my sisters. We haven't ALL been together since 2007.




Then we did a little shopping. Went to the Rainbow Sandal store. See my new rainbows...

Baby blue....

Quilted and bound this baby blanket up for someone at the quilt shop.... She picked it all out and asked me to finish it up.. Can you tell she's having a boy!

New vacuum....

Splurged and bought myself a vacuum.... I have NEVER in my life, got to pick out my own vacuum. In the past, my dad has always just brought one home whether we needed it or not. My vacuum that we had was just ok... Probably... 10 years old...I think it spit out more dirt behind it then picking the stuff up.
Anyways... I have had my eye on a Dyson... Kohl's has them... $499.00 (eek)the middle model... Top model is $700.00 ouch! I would haved loved to have this one..way too much $$.
Last week they were on sale like 70.00 off... I had a 20% off coupon, plus I waited for them to give the Kohl's dollars out.. 10.00 for every 50.00 you spend.. Cha-Ching!
I scored!!



This baby works like a champ!!! I don't think I will EVER not own a Dyson vacuum again.

Good intentions...

The front of this quilt turned out cute... Colors... Really not my choice, but someone might like it. It really is a BRIGHT BRIGHT green even though the picture doesn't show it. I even took the picture outside to get the full effect, and still can't see it. Ordered the panels.. Thinking they were ALOT bigger than they were.. I was soooo excited when I found them online...didn't even think to read the sizes...I was thinking like double the size. NOT... Teenie weenie they were..



The back ..not so much...as much as I tried to center it on the backing.. Of course I was way off and then it shifted.. Then as much as I LOVE pieced backing...I am not thrilled with this at all.
So, it really is a useless quilt.. Too small for a lap quilt..a little too big to hang..plus the color... No one would want this hanging in their house... guess it could be a car quilt... Or even the dog may want to lay on it.



But the label on it is the best..
