Well, we did it! Bought a house.
I didn’t want to tell anyone for the fear that it might not happen, not go through, fall out of escrow... I didn’t want to jinx it.
Weird situation, owners called us before they listed it for the chance to buy it without the realtors fee. Ok. Sounds good to me. They purchased a house down the street with a pool and needed to sell their current house. (sshh.‘they over paid). We looked, we liked the house, not their asking price. They wanted to get the most money to pay for this overpriced house they just bought. The price, like I said was wayyy over asking price. We countered, they didn’t like it... never heard another word from them.
The house then went on the market with a realtor and it even went up $7,000 more than what they asked us for. Youch! Sold, fell out of escrow and we waited and waited till we knew they were desperate. Made an offer, the same offer to be exact as the first time and they took it.
This time around, we got a new roof and septic system fixed and re inspected included in the price. Silly peoples...
we are to close May 22nd, and not move in till around June 22nd, till their house is ready.
Eek! I’m still holding my breath till it’s done and signed. I’m just afraid this young couple will realize that they got screwed and want to back out...I’m scared to death that it won’t go through!
Interesting.... Easter 1998, we bought out very first house.... Easter 2019, we bought this house, hopefully out last house. Weird, huh?
