Lolli Pop Hill...
So finally, here it is...
I had to take a short cut on some of the things just because I had to get it done. I had a BIG interruption that through me off track. More on that later.
It's even quilted... Only top picture though...
I took others after it was quilted but I guess I moved around to much because top corner was blurry.
It's in the washer now.. So we gotta wait. But these were taken out back earlier in the day. I'll snap more pictures in the daylight. I am anxious to see the final project.
So stinking cute, even if I didn't do some of the other cuteness it was asking for.
Ready to pack up tomorrow for the trip to Texas.

Red work...
Since I've been off for summer vacation, all of us quilting buddies try to get together every Friday and sew, stitch, whatever we have that has to be done.
Last Friday, I finished up row 2, and today after sitting in Jury duty for 6 hrs today, I finished row 3!
This has been my handwork I do when I watch tv. It has taken awhile, because with summer here, I don't turn tv on that much these days.
So now, I have to take the 'stay' stitches out, starch, iron and assemble the frames to all of these.
I did not notice till I took them outside to take a picture, that one of the rows, the background fabric is a shade off. Hmmm. How did that happen? In the picture right above, it's the middle one.
I think once I get all the outside blocks on and frame it up, either of 2 things will happen. 1- you won't notice it (that's what I'm hoping for) or 2- it will totally set if off and it will look awful. Either way, it's going together. Too much work has gone into this baby!

Spools...
Remember Temecula Quilt store, she was having a sew along and I made 100 little spools.. Well she showed the final layout, and guess what? I did NOT like it at all. It had a 11 1/2" middle with sewing appliqué's. Not what I expected at all.
So I just took the 100 spools, itty bitty spools, along with the 100 plain squares and made up my own little quilt. I can use it as a table topper. I didn't even use all them up, I still have a handful left. It's perfect for that. And, there is 1 itty bitty little 1/2" triangle I sewed on backwards.. Oops! Can you spot it? I'm going to go color it in and guess what? You will never notice it! I'll be darned if I'm gonna go back and fix it! Hahaha. No way.

Pillow...
Forgot to show you this one..
Made a couple of pillows and 4th of July banners a couple of weeks ago. I bought the burlap at Walmart and sewed them up. I stuffed it with a pillow I bought at big lots. They had a package of 2 for $12 and the day I bought them they had 20% off your entire purchase. I figured this was way cheaper than buying a pillow insert at Joanne's.. About $5 for ea. pretty good.
The banners... Well... Kelly took both of them, I have to make myself another one if I want one..
This is the quilt now hanging in my sewing room. It was time I switched it out. This was a block exchange with our sewing group we did a couple years ago.
Still a favorite..

Christmas in July...
Finished my Snowman quilt. He is all ready for Christmas when it comes around. All the snowman's are made out of wool.
Primitive Gatherings Pattern. I wasn't going to buy it, but came across a kit at an unbelievable price and couldn't pass it up. Kerry did an amazing job at quilting it and I did the sew on binding, which I absolutely LOVE. Love how it puts the accent color on. Just makes it POP!

Market Day quilt along...
Pam Buda's from Heartspun Quilts had a sew along or quilt along, whatever you want to call it. Well I did it.
I did it in 2 sizes...
Big... About 30x30
And mini... Done with just scraps...16 1/2 x 16 1/2
It was a lot of fun. She is doing another one coming up. She has instructions on her blog already.
