It's fixed.. I think..

Or should say I hope it is..
Hubby thought my issues with my machine was my quilting foot.. It looked fine... But when you compare it to the new one...
EEKK!!! We were so wrong..look at the shaft on left, how worn out it is...

Then look at the hole...

I practiced a little, but now I'm gonna have to make a quilt to try it out. Darn!
I have 3 upstairs that need quilting, but they need custom, and I just don't do that!

Baby gift...

This week were having a baby shower for one of the girls at work. She is due April 8th... MY BIRTHDAY! Hope she waits till then, but this pregnancy has been a challenge since day 1... So we will see. Here's a picture of the quilt top before it was finished...

She's having a girl... We hope... For the first 2 months, dr's told her it was a boy!
Looks kinda weird here...it's draped over a chair... It's washed here also, so it's all crinkly... Love that part!

Put the fuzzies on the back... Made it super soft!!

She almost didn't get it because the machine was being a ***********...
Did 1 1/2 rows... Thread broke 6x's... Could have been more, lost track...Took the whole thing off... Un did the whole thing... Let it sat for 1 week staring at it every day.. Then I decided to take the batting out and try it... Bingo!! Only broke 2x's..
I'll tell you later what the issue was, is, or at least what my husband thinks it is..

Projects...

It was a busy weekend....
Mark had a head cold... And if any of you have a husband you know what I'm talking about! Geesh!
Anyways....
I finished up a couple of projects that needed finishing.. These 2 blocks were leftovers from primitive gatherings BOM... I framed them up like I did the other 12.
I must have made 2 purchases online, (free) because I had 2 extra blocks.

Then I bought these cute little battery operated candles at Pieced with Love booth at Hemet Quilt Show. Came home, and mark built the boxes and frames (even being sick)There are 2, I painted 1 red, and 1 blue..there are little wreath type things that go on top... Just have to find them. Candles are cool... On a timer..On for 8 hours..off for 16 I think it is. Or it could be 6 & 18. And they are battery operated!!

He even cut the tin stars out for me. But even being sick, he did come home and make this stuff for me without me asking... But man I paid for it afterwards..

Check out some of these quilts.... Pretty darn cute! Hemet Quilters are amazing...
I'm glad I didn't choose to make this... Super cute, but everyone and their Uncle is making it.

Jan Patek... Love her quilts!

These little bow tie things were finished like at 1 1/2" sq! And it was HUGE!

Then look at this... Another Red Door Design... Gonna make me this too!

Hemet quilt show...

Such a small little show... But I LOVE it... I always enjoy it and find the cutest things... I am so hooked on Red Door Designs right now... Here's my haul..

This little believe pillow... Is so adorable..

Then Sandi from Pieced With Love made up this super quilt...gotta make me one of these... Use up some scraps too...

Then I found this rotary blade sharpener at the 'junk sale'.. 5.00.. Also 1/2 price

Thought I'd give it a try and donate to the cause.

Fun day... Bought Mark lunch for tagging along with me. I took some pictures of a couple quilts I'll show you later.

Heart quilt....

This was quilt along from Temecula Quilt Co. I had to alter mine because my measurements didn't turn out like she said they would.. Everything was cut just like she said so I emailed her and asked questions and never heard back, which I thought was kinda different. So, I made do and improvised and made it my own. Even the quilting turned out kinda neat.

My heart goes out to Ed and Carol who have lost their dad. It's a hard time for them and I'm praying for you to give you strength to get through this.

Sew day Saturday...

There were 8 of us all together...in this picture , Sue is missing... All of us are sewing, quilting, laughing all in this room.. Thanks Linda for hosting...

Then... These guys are taking painting lessons from Linda's husband, John. They walked away with a totally painted picture!! They looked awesome.

We all had a blast doing our own thing... And for lunch, Linda made us wonderful lasagna.. Salad, guacamole and chips... Fresh fruit.. Oh my! I have NEVER tasted strawberries like I did yesterday! They were so scrumptious!! Tasted like they had been dipped in sugar.. They came from a fruit stand in San Juan Cap... Wish I lived closer... I'd go get me some of those.
